Home Office Renovations

Well it is official. I cannot decide on a color for my home office. I am usally great, no awesome, at picking paint colors. I know my tastes, I am comfortable in my colors. Sure I may paint 500 times before I get it right but when I do, it is like majic! I wonder, is it because it is my office is a place of chaos, a place where I have to be a grownup? Hmm, I wonder.

Our Prayers to Haiti

It is Tuesday morning, Jacob and his friends are up stairs. I hear the pitter patter of footsteps, giggles and Dixie Chicks blaring. Yes my son loves country music but in his defense, he also loves Jimmy Hendrix and has a t-shirt to prove it. It is on a day like today that I sit and appreciate how lucky I am. I have a loving husband (who may sometimes drive me crazy) and a son, who although drives me crazy all of the time, is adorable and probably the most loving child that I have ever met. I open my email to see a letter sent to our Pastor. It is a minute by minute account of the quake that shattered Port au Prince. Yes, our Disaster and Relief team members were there when the quake hit. Thankfully no one in our team was hurt, God has a bigger plan for them. He describes that quake as lasting 40 seconds at the most. Can you imagine, 40 seconds? That was all it took to flatten a city. So many died innocently and so many are dieing "stupid" deaths every day. Food, water, shelter and relief cannot come fast enough. So today when you are grabbing your Timmies or picking up your child from school, thank God for being here, alive, safe and fruitful. Pick up the phone and call your mom, daughter, wife, husband and tell them you love them.

Happy New Year!

Well another year has come and gone and I don't know about you but most of my 2009 resolutions were not met. Which leads me to wonder why do we set resolutions in the first place? Yes, I agree it is healthy to have goals in life but why do we feel so compelled to have a list of things that need to be done in 1 year/12months/365 days. So this year, I have made the resolution to not make resolutions. This year, I have decided it is the year to live every day to its fullest, appreciate those who surround me, appreciate the clients who continually support me and the new friends that I meet along the way. And hey, if I lose those pounds that need to be shed along the way, kudos to me!

It Is Up and Running!

Well hello to those who have taken the time to look at my new blog. I wanted to create a place where people can come to and chat either about the Real Estate market, about being a mom, about being a person, books, anything that is on your mind. My goal for this blog is to have a weekly discussion on topics that both you and I choose. I am going to have "hosts" where we can ask a professional questions. Send me an email now and let's have some fun!
